The MDP Youth Chorus engages the talented local youth in Tianjin and provides them with quality choral training, an essential aspect of music education. The Youth Chorus works with an internationally trained team of conductors. There are two groups: an intermediate chorus for students ages 5 to 9, and an advanced chorus for students ages 7 to 12 (Students over 12 years old may be allowed to join the chorus based on the maturity of the voice).

Each chorus rehearses once per week on Sundays from September – January and February– June, and performs twice each year on a Tianjin Juilliard stage and other locations throughout Tianjin.
