Public EducationMusic Development Program – Flute

Yi Luo,  flutist and chamber musician, founder of the "Ming Jing" Flute Quartet and the Tianjin Juilliard Flute Ensemble. She graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music, where she studied under flutist Liao Yuanyuan, and later earned her Master's degree from TheTianjin Juilliard School under the tutelage of flutist Gergely Ittzés.  

In her graduate studies, Yi became an active performer on musical stages, appearing in events such as the Festival Connect Chamber Music Series and the Tianjin Juilliard Vocal Institute Concerts. As a member of the Tianjin Juilliard Orchestra, she collaborated with world-renowned conductors including David Robertson, Lü Shaojia, and Yip Wing-sie, and participated in the orchestra's inaugural tour in China.    

With a deep devotion to flute artistry, Yi has been committed to promoting and advancing flute ensemble performance. She founded the "Ming Jing" Flute Quartet, which won numerous awards in prestigious competitions. In 2024, she successfully established the Tianjin Juilliard Flute Ensemble and held a dedicated concert, earning widespread recognition for her artistic accomplishments. She was invited to Shanghai to perform in a flute quartet salon concert and performed alongside Juilliard flute professor Carol Wincenc.
