Yonqgi Lu, an emerging oboist and educator, received a bachelor’s degree with honors in oboe from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and a master's degree from The Tianjin Juilliard School. Presently, Lu works at the China Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra as an oboist.  

Lu's exceptional talents were acknowledged with the prestigious Gold Medal at the Korea-China International Wind Music Competition. She has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. Her musical odyssey has spanned continents, from China to Germany, Italy, and the UK, where she has graced the stage alongside luminaries like Ludovic Morlot and Garrick Ohlsson through esteemed international youth music initiatives, including NYO-China, earning widespread accolades.
