Public EducationMusic Development Program – Cello

Tzu-Wen Wang is an award-winning cellist. In 2023, she won first prize at the VIII Agustín Aponte International Music Competition in Spain and second prize at the 2022 Concorso Gasparo da Salò di Musica da Camera in Italy. She was invited to perform at the Steinway House in Brescia, Italy. In the 2023 season, she gave chamber music concerts in Paris under the invitation of the Maison Heinrich Heine foundation.

Wang is a founding member of Trio Felix and Trio Lindenbaum. She was accepted to international music festivals with scholarships, including the Aspen Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, and Le Domaine Forget de Charlevoix in Canada.  

In 2014, Wang was accepted into the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore with a full scholarship, studying under cellist Qin Liwei. In 2018, she pursued her Master’s in Cello Performance at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig, under Professor Peter Hörr and Veronika Wilhelm. She continued her studies for an Advanced Artist Diploma at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz with Manuel Fischer-Dieskau and Katharina Deserno.
