All new students will receive their new email addresses and instructions to access their email in late May or early June. Students who are having trouble accessing their email should email helpdesk-it@tianjinjuilliard.edu.cn.
When will I receive the bill of tuition and housing fee? When will be the payment due?
The Tuition Bill will be sent on June 19 and the payment due is July 26. The Housing Bill will be sent on July 19 and the payment due is August 12. More details, please check the Student Academic Calendar 2025-2026.

Does Tianjin Juilliard provide airport/ train station pick-up service?
The office of Residence Life arranges airport pick up at designated time slots if you provide your arrival information, such as flight number, date and time, etc. The survey form will be sent in August.
I am an international student. When is the earliest time for me to start applying for the Chinese visa?
You will receive the visa application materials by the end of June or early July. Please contact Zhishan Li at zhishan.li@tianjinjuilliard.edu.cn if you have any questions regarding the visa.
As an international student, how much money should I prepare for personal and living expenses to China?
Estimated costs for living in China includes:
- Physical Examination Fee 510RMB
- Residence Permit Application Fee 800RMB
- Student Phone Plan per month 39RMB

I have never been to China. Is there any chance I can get more information to help prepare for my trip to China?
Yes, all international students will be invited to an online Town Hall Meeting, which will cover all matters that may concern international students, such as visa application, bank account and SIM card in China, student support group, plus a few other practical items about traveling to China. The meeting will be held at the beginning of July.
When can I access the Tianjin Juilliard Building?
New students may access the Tianjin Juilliard Building upon receipt of their student ID card at Orientation check-in.
What are placement assessments, and will I need to take them?
Placement assessments are evaluation tools intended to reveal your knowledge and skill level so that you will be placed in the proper classes. Students will receive specific information about required placement assessments from Academic Affairs.
When do I register for classes?
New students will register for classes during Orientation week.
