Young Artists, Junior, and Adjunct Participants

  • Online Application 

The priority application deadline is March 15, and the extended deadline is April 1. To begin, create your Tianjin Juilliard Admissions Account, gather the required application materials, and follow the instructions to complete your application. 

Please remember your Tianjin Juilliard Admissions Account username and password as you will need it to log in throughout the entirety of the admissions process. All admissions communication will be conducted through your Account and the email address used for registration.

  • Application Requirements

All Young Artists, Junior, and Adjunct applicants must submit  

  • Videos totaling 15-20 minutes from performance within the past 6 months, playing two or more contrasting pieces 

  • A full biography (in English, Chinese, or both), including schools and teachers (past and present), concerts, achievements, and awards 

  • One recommendation letter from your teacher

Young Artist applicants who are not accepted as Young Artists may also ask to be considered as Adjunct Participants.  

Junior applicants who are not accepted as Juniors may also ask to be considered as an Auditor. 

Auditors

All Auditor applicants must submit an online application and will be admitted on a rolling basis beginning in June 2024. Please note that Auditor applicants younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult guardian who must also apply to be an Auditor.

Scholarships for Young Artists range from 50-100%. A limited number of travel stipends are available. All scholarships are merit-based. 

Scholarships for Juniors range from 10-50%. All scholarships are merit-based.

Full Festival (August 4-18, 2024)     6,500 RMB (USD 925) 

 

Guardian Auditor* Application and Registration Fee
For 1-Week Participants  850 RMB (USD 120)
For 2-Week Participants   1,700 RMB (USD 240) 

*All participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by a Guardian Auditor. Fees are payable after Participants are selected. 

*Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.

*All fees are payable in RMB or USD. No other currencies are accepted.
