Full-Time Viola Faculty

Responsibilities:

Teach applied lessons and lead weekly performance classes for both Graduate Studies Program and Pre-College
Coach chamber music
Lead sectional rehearsals for TJS Graduate Orchestra
Play side-by-side with graduate students in chamber music and orchestra as needed
Teach in a secondary area as qualified
Actively recruit students
Perform chamber music with colleagues as part of the TJS resident faculty ensemble

Qualifications:

Fluency in English (the graduate program at TJS is accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education, therefore all courses are taught in English)
Extensive experience performing in professional Western orchestras and chamber ensembles at the highest international level
Minimum 5 years of collegiate teaching experience required
Entrepreneurial minded and comfortable with the uncertainties associated with a new venture
