Classical guitarist Beiyan Liu graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, studying under Professor Meng Su at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the United States, Associate Professor Jiajiong Li and Associate Professor Jie Li from the Central Conservatory of Music in China. 

Liu has competed and won awards in prestigious international competitions, was featured as a soloist with the China National Symphony Orchestra, and participated in recordings for programs on CCTV Music Channel. Her performances have taken her to venues across China, the United States, France, and Germany, including the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall, and Shanghai Oriental Art Center. 

In chamber music, Liu is a founding member of the "Harmony Chamber Ensemble," which was honored with the "Special Prize" in the chamber music category at the A-class international music competition, the Klingenthal International Accordion Competition in Germany. She has released an album with the chamber ensemble titled "Tango of Flowers." 

Liu has appeared as an actress in the award-winning film My Heart Leaps Up, participated in the recording of the film score for Feng Xiaogang's movie Youth, and served as the music director and guitarist for the drama "Primitive Family" at the Festival d’Avignon in France. She has collaborated with renowned composer and conductor Tan Dun in lectures and solo performances for Music and Film - Commemorating Music Master Toru Takemitsu.and performed solo with renowned ballerina and principal dancer of the San Francisco Ballet, Yuanyuan Tan, in performances of Carmen.
