2025 Festival Features Renowned Teaching Guest Artists, Master Classes, Recitals, Lectures, A Concerto Competition and Ample Performance Opportunities

The third Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival will take place from August 3 to 17, 2025 at The Tianjin Juilliard School. Participants will work alongside the world’s finest pianists and teachers in 12 master classes; receive over 250 hours of private lessons; attend recitals given by eminent artists; be given performance opportunities; and have access to the finest performance and practice spaces. Embracing the importance of collaborative music-making, the festival provides the unique experience of working with a chamber orchestra and conductor, as well as the opportunity to read chamber music with a renowned string quartet.  

The two-week festival features many renowned teaching artists. In addition to co-artistic directors Yoheved Kaplinsky and Xiaohan Wang, the 2025 roster includes Michael Berkovsky, Katyrzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Boris Slutsky, Minsoo Sohn, Andrew Tyson, Arie Vardi, and others. During the festival, these teaching artists will hold a series of private lessons and master classes. The festival is also honored to present distinguished artists the Shanghai Quartet, and the QingXin Ensemble as performing artists. More artists will be announced soon.

Applications open on January 15, 2025, to applicants of all nationalities, who can apply to one of the following three categories: Young Artist, Junior, Adjunct. Applications to Auditor and Teacher Auditor open on April 15, 2025. This year, all admitted Young Artists will be offered a full scholarship and travel stipend.
