Public EducationMusic Development Program – Violin

Yan Liang is a violinist, chamber musician, and educator. As an active performer, Liang is dedicated to chamber music and contemporary repertoire. A core member of the QingXin Ensemble, she has collaborated with composers and fellow musicians in numerous chamber music projects, premiere performances, and concert series. She has also appeared in chamber music series presented by the Southern Taiwan Chamber Music Society and contemporary music projects organized by the Asian Composers League.

Liang has participated in internationally recognized festivals and professional training programs, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, Weimar Midori masterclasses, Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, International Music Workshop and Festival at Schloss Kirchberg, and Arosa Music Academy. She has participated in the Khachaturian International Competition and the Osaka International Music Competition.

Liang is an active educator with experience in summer music camps, chamber music coaching, string ensemble instruction, and private violin teaching. She has guided students through performances, examinations, auditions, and music school admissions, and is committed to promoting music education through outreach and cultural exchange initiatives.

She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Taipei University of the Arts and a Master of Music degree in Instrumental and Chamber Music Studies from The Tianjin Juilliard School. Her doctoral research focused on the life, artistry, and pedagogical philosophy of the Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe, reflecting her lifelong interest in the relationship between performance, teaching, and artistic development.  

Liang joined Tianjin Juilliard’s Public Education Music Development Program faculty team in 2026.
