Dr. Harris is on the faculty at the Juilliard School Pre-College division, where she teaches and conducts the Youth Chorus. Dr. Harris is an adjunct music education professor at Steinhardt New York University, where she is a faculty at the Kodály Summer Institute, teaching choral conducting, methodology, and conducting the Institute choir. She is the choral director at the Spence School in New York City. Dr. Harris is the co-chair in collegiate music of New York - American Choral Directors Association. She is a frequent choral clinician and presenter at local, state, regional and national conferences. She has most recently presented at the 5th Asia Kodály Symposium hosted by the Kodály Academy of Music in Singapore in collaboration with the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music (Hungary).

Dr. Harris earned her Doctor of Education in Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Previously, Dr. Harris was a guest clinician teaching rhythms and movement to Juilliard Pre-College high school singers, while also teaching pedagogy to the master’s students for Teaching Fellows MAP at Juilliard. At New York University, Dr. Harris taught methodology classes for many years in the music education department and was the supervising mentor for student teachers. She was the visiting assistant professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, the City University of New York, taught elementary and secondary methodology and conducting. She taught choral conducting to master’s students at Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Harris was the music faculty at the Trevor Day School and was the choral director at the Packer Collegiate Institute in New York. She planned and directed several award-winning European tours.
